Grades 1-8 participate in reading books, doing activities, playing games, researching, and creating timelines which make learning American history fun and memorable. Learning American History Through Literature can be used for:

Learning American History Through Literature covers seven periods of American history:
- Colonial
- Revolutionary War
- Westward Expansion
- Civil War
- Industrial Age
- World War Years
- Postwar Years
Each unit includes in-depth book lists, discussion questions, hands-on-activities, games, recipes, and more that will help make history come alive for students in K-8th grades.
