About the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship – PEP
The Homeschool Hive is an approved direct provider for the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship – PEP (Personal Education Plan).
This scholarship provides eligible Florida students with access to an Education Savings Account (ESA) that can be used to cover a wide variety of educational expenses—including curriculum, instructional materials, tutoring, and standardized testing. It’s designed to give families more control over their child’s learning journey, especially if traditional schooling isn’t the right fit.
We work closely with PEP families to provide qualifying services and ensure that your student stays in compliance with scholarship requirements—all while supporting you with personalized care and expert guidance.

Standardized Testing Requirement for PEP
As part of the PEP scholarship guidelines, all participating students are required to complete a state-approved standardized test each academic year and submit the results to their Scholarship Funding Organization (SFO) by July 31st.
We proudly offer the WRAT-5 (Wide Range Achievement Test, Fifth Edition), which is officially approved for use by PEP families. This test provides a reliable snapshot of your child’s academic progress in reading, spelling, and math.
Here’s how we make it easy:
- Choose a virtual or in-person format
- Testing takes about an hour
- We’ll walk you through how to send your scores to your SFO

Direct Billing Made Simple
As a direct provider, we make the process smooth and stress-free. No need for itemized invoices—just head to your EMA account, reserve the funds online, and you’re good to go! We’ll handle the rest behind the scenes so you can focus on what matters most: supporting your child’s education.
Here’s how it works:
Schedule Your Appointment
Choose your preferred testing format (Zoom or in-person) and book your date and time through our easy online scheduler. Be sure to book each child individually if you’re testing more than one student.
Reserve Your Funds
If your student receives the FES Scholarship, please click this link for Payment instructions through FES EMA. This must be done ASAP (at least two weeks) prior to your scheduled appointment.
Complete the Testing
Your child will take the WRAT-5 in a comfortable, one-on-one session with one of our certified Mini Bees. We’ll guide them through the process gently and supportively—no pressure, no stress.

Please book each child individually so everyone gets the time and attention they need.
A credit card is required to hold your spot, but don’t worry—we won’t charge it unless your scholarship funds aren’t reserved. We’ll send instructions once you book!
Cancellation policy:

🚫 No-shows: Charged in full
