Learning American History Through Literature

Grades 1-8 participate in reading books, doing activities, playing games, researching, and creating timelines which make learning American history fun and memorable. Learning American History Through Literature can be used for:

• Multi-level teaching
• A one or two year course of study
• A stand-alone curriculum or as a resource for any other curriculum

Learning American History Through Literature covers seven periods of American history:

2. Revolutionary War
3. Westward Expansion
4. Civil War
5. Industrial Age
6. World War Years
7. Postwar Years

Each unit includes in-depth book lists, discussion questions, hands-on-activities, games, recipes, and more that will help make history come alive for students in K-8th grades.
