Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA)
Children with unique abilities often have different needs when it comes to their education. For those with physical, mental and educational disabilities in the state of Florida, the FES-UA Scholarship allows families to personalize their education to provide a learning environment in which the student can thrive and grow.
As a direct vendor, The Homeschool Hive provides a catalog of educational, sensory and fun resources, through a specialized website. Using the scholarship funds deposited into their Educational Savings Account, parents can order directly from The Homeschool Hive. This allows families to purchase quality products without having to stretch out their family budget.
The Homeschool Hive is also a direct vendor with Florida’s Personalized Education Plan Scholarship and West Virginia’s Hope Scholarship, which serve an additional 23,000 students this school year.

How Does It Work?
The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) provides access to an education savings account (ESA) that functions like a bank account from which you direct funds to pay for tuition and fees for a private school, homeschooling options, therapies, tutoring and more.
Families have the option to purchase services and products through MyScholarShop without having to pay upfront and apply for reimbursement. However, they can still use providers or vendors outside of MyScholarShop for pre-approved purchases by paying upfront and submitting a reimbursement claim.
